A wintery congress under the Maltese mild January temperatures with a strong recurring element of the Knights of St. John

The first themed evening that was organised for this conference was named “A Night at the Races”, where delegates could enjoy watching horses races, complete with tote tickets and fun money, whilst enjoying a buffet dinner in the main restaurant of the hotel.  The activity had a dual purpose; to serve as an entertainment of the evening but also a good ice-breaker event since most of the people had never met or sat at table together.

The Gala evening which took place at the imposing Mediterranean Conference Centre, started off with an awards ceremony in the Republic Hall Auditorium.

3-course gala dinner followed by an after dinner party until late, complete with open bar and DJ.

The following day, the delegates were able to choose which excursion to explore, either the UNESCO Capital City Valletta; an open-museum in itself or the well-known authentic Three Cities. Visiting such cities, brought together the historical and modern concepts, this beautiful country and the cities themselves have to offer, together with a taste of the communital aspect they offer.

Dating back to the Knights of St. John era, and with such cities rich in history and culture, the group had the opportunity to explore Museums, Palaces, Landmarks, Squares and together with Shopping establishments, open markets and a range of restaurants and bars to choose from. At the end of their excursions, the group started dissolving so as to take their respective flights home, keeping their experiences in Malta at heart!
